Terms of Service

Effective: May 8, 2026

1. Acceptance

By using Asios Standup ("the Service"), operated by Asios LLC ("we", "us"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. The Service

Asios Standup is a small-group ritual tool. A host creates a group, invites members, and an AI custodian ("Asios") posts the daily prompt, acknowledges check-ins, sends a private nudge to anyone who has gone quiet for two days, and writes the weekly recap. Check-ins are stored persistently and visible to other members of the same group.

3. Accounts

An account is required to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials. You must be at least 13 years old.

4. Hosts and Members

  • The host of a group owns the group's billing, schedule, prompt template, and member roster.
  • Inviting a member is a representation that you have a legitimate reason to do so (you actually know them and they expect to participate).
  • Members can leave a group at any time. The host can remove a member at any time.
  • The host can permanently delete a group, which permanently deletes all check-ins, summaries, and member rows for that group.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for illegal activities
  • Send spam, malware, or abusive content in check-ins or invites
  • Invite people who haven't agreed to participate
  • Attempt to access another group's data, another user's account, or our infrastructure
  • Interfere with the operation of the Service
  • Circumvent rate limits, plan member-caps, or per-group AI spend caps
  • Use Asios (the AI participant) to generate harmful, hateful, or illegal content
  • Scrape or systematically download check-ins from groups other than your own

We may suspend or terminate access for violations without notice.

6. Asios (AI Participant) & Data Processing

Check-ins, weekly summaries, and quiet-member nudges are processed by one of our AI providers, selected based on your group's plan (all USA-based):

  • Groq (Free), Anthropic (Pro / Team), or OpenAI (fallback) for chat completions
  • OpenAI Whisper for voice-check-in transcription (Pro+)
  • None of these providers use your data for model training on their production API tiers
  • Providers may retain requests for up to 30 days for safety monitoring
  • We strip obvious PII (emails, phone numbers, long digit runs) from check-in text before it leaves us for an AI provider; raw audio sent to Whisper cannot be redacted before transcription
  • By using Asios, you consent to processing as described

AI-generated content (prompts, acknowledgements, recaps, nudges) is generated automatically and may be inaccurate. We are not responsible for AI-generated content or for any provider's accuracy or availability.

7. Paid Plans & Per-Group Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe and are scoped to a single group, not per seat. The host pays once; members never see a paywall. You can cancel at any time via the Customer Portal — access continues until the end of your billing period, and existing members keep their seats during the grace period. After the period ends, the group reverts to the Free tier (5-member cap; new invites above the cap are blocked, but existing members are not removed). Refunds are handled case-by-case. We may change pricing with 30 days notice to active subscribers.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties. Asios LLC is not liable for:

  • Service interruptions, downtime, or missed scheduled prompts / recaps
  • AI-generated content accuracy, tone, or availability
  • Loss or corruption of check-ins or group data
  • Failures of third-party providers (Render, Vercel, Stripe, Resend, Groq, Anthropic, OpenAI)
  • Loss of payment information (handled by Stripe)
  • Disputes between group members or anything a member shares in a check-in

Our maximum aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the prior 12 months. By using the Service, you accept the risk that your data will be processed by third parties as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Termination

You may delete your account or any group you host at any time. We may terminate or suspend access for violation of these terms, non-payment, or to protect the integrity of the Service. On termination, we will delete your account data within 30 days, subject to retention requirements in our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or email.
